To celebrate the Environment week, the Garibaldi hydropower plant held the environmental project called “Come out to preserve” in the local municipalities of Cerro Negro and Abdon Batista. In the final stage, the winning teams received as prize a trip to meet the Recicletar, a company in the region that provides waste collect services to the plant and the affected municipalities.
The trip to Recicletar company occurred on Aug.5th. In the morning, students and teachers were welcomed by Ms. Maridalva, responsible for the company. They received information about the collection, recycling and disposal of recyclable waste and how is the process of composting of organic waste and the reversal of waste into income.
At lunch, everyone received a souvenir from Garibaldi HPP, in recognition of the commitment to the project. In the afternoon, students and teachers went to the city of Abdon Batista to visit the Garibaldi HPP, where they were well received by CTG Brasil’s technicians who explained the operation of the plant.
CTG Brasil’s Garibaldi Hydropower Plant keeps improving the Environmental Education Program and this time, the action had the participation of about 240 students, from public schools in the municipalities of Cerro Negro and Abdon Batista.
